Solid pilot core drill

A solid pilot rougher core drill would be the same as pre drilling a chamber?. I know it seems like a dumb question but … I’ve been getting live pilot three flute roughing reamers .Always have used live pilot reamers. Never have I pre drilled a chamber, just used roughing reamers. JGS has a sale on the three flute solid pilot core drill. It’s a lot cheaper than the roughing reamer is why I’m asking.
Thanks

Got a link to the sale? I have a few holes in my tooling.

I've been looking at those... With my flush system It'd be a lot easier to core drill instead of pre-drill bore on the 1-2 calibers I do a lot of.

I was wondering about the solid pilot? Do they usually come a tad smaller than nominal bore….
Sale is on 6.5 Grendel roughing core drill.

I bought it. 6.5 Grendel is what it is. She said the only other one on sale is a .223 wsm or something like that. The rest are finish reamers.
