Ran out of elevation at 600yds

Don't assume the rifle's rail is 100% pararell with the barrel.
Most of the time they're close, but sometimes the barrel cants away from the rail/top of the receiver.

Take a longer ruler and measure the space between the ruler and barrel near the receiver and at the end of the barrel and you'll know if that's the issue.

Don't measure to the top of the barrel but as close to the center of the bore as possible.

Ah forget all the fancy stuff, just hold the horizontal cross hair higher over your target. You'll get the hang of it in time.

After looking at the pictures, I have a few comments:

If that doesn't work, it will be time for a canted rail. Don't use home made shims; you'll only screw up the scope.

Real dumb question if it's been asked, it's not a 300blk is it? If its 223, maybe the actual mount is bent somehow? Or was manufactured wrong or not mounted correctly?
