Quickload

Quickload is "NOT" a NECO product, they are only selling it in the U.S. for the German company that owns the copyright.

Q: I don’t have a disk drive; can i just download QuickLOAD?

A: Because QuickLOAD is developed and published in Germany, it is subject to German law. The German Government has determined that this software program falls under ITAR restrictions. Therefore, it is only available in physical form, no downloads. If someone tells you otherwise, it is NOT QuickLOAD.
If this statement about ITAR was true, then NECO is violating these regulations. NECO has to determine who they are selling to is not a “Non US Person” and that they Will not transfer it to a Non US person. For each and every copy. Do they do that?

Those describe the distributorships.

if I was to order from NECO with a US mailing address for a customer in Korea, that would be an ITAR violation on my part AND NECOs part. Their culpability is from their failure to obtain an end user certificate from me.

I can't see why ITAR would care about quickload because it's a niche market made up of old people.
Will a t-rr-r-st use QL ? I doubt it.

My heartburn with NECO is they do not own the pattent to Quickload and a German citizen does. And yet NECO went around to firearms forums telling everyone they were breaking the copyright laws if they gave out Quickload info to anyone else.

Now show me any firearms forums or individuals that had a lawsuit brought against them by NECO or the German owner of the pattent. The answer to this is "NO ONE" because the output of Quickload is not copyright protected. So my heartburn is because NECO lied about the copyright law in the hopes of make more money selling Quickload disks.

The OP asked if anyone would do a Quickload workup for him, and the real question is if his request is a copyright violation. And the answer is it is "NOT" a copyright violation. Because the OP did not ask anyone to copy the Quickload disk and send it to him.

If you live in the United States then you are the person exporting the CDs, so it is up to you to get an export licence. However, if you tell NECO that it is your intent to export the CDs to Korea, then NECO would require an End User Undertaking from the Korea end user and would have to apply for an export license.

The topic is can anyone give Quickload data to someone else. And the answer is yes because they are not breaking copyright laws.

The real problem is with Quickload you need a chronograph to adjust the burn rate in Quickload until the velocity matches your chronograph. This and other tweaks like the correct case capacity to get computer generated guesstimates. Meaning the vast majority of people asking for Quickload information do not provide enough information to get anything close to correct Quickload output data.

Example, Quickload defaults to the lowest case capacity, so with the .223 this is 28.0 and a Lake City 5.56 case is 30.6. And with the same load of 25.0 grains of H335 there would be 5,000 psi difference in chamber pressures.
