Quickload on Windows 11

Good evening all. Been away from the reloading bench for a few years but I'm retiring next week and looking forward to getting back into it.

I've upgraded computers many times since my last Quickload install. Am I going to have any issues loading it up on a Windows 11 PC?

Thanks for any feedback.
No issues at all. I was using Windows 10, bought this new laptop, and simply moved the files over.

FYI.....my laptop.

You don't have to buy Windows 11, you can download it. It was a free upgrade if you owned Windows 10. It runs on unsupported hardware. I've had it installed on a desktop that is at least 12 years old. 3 different laptops from a 10 year old I7, 5 year old I5 and now a U7. It runs the same on all of them.

It does have to be a 64 bit processor.

The biggest complaint with Windows 11 is the default install has the start button in middle of screen. You click the start button, select "Settings", select "Personalization", select "Taskbar behaviors", "Taskbar alignment", change from "Center" to "Left" and you just made it look exactly like Windows 10.

Im not going to go into all the reasons why you shouldnt use an internet connected Win10 after 10/14 and no its not because Microsoft just wants you to upgrade.

But if your Win10 machine isnt internet connected it will continue to run just fine without issue and you have nothing to worry about.

The single biggest difference between Win10 and Win11 is TPM 2.0.. This is a major hardware security requirement to install Win11 on older hardware and is the reason why older Win10 machines said not compatible when you tried doing the Win10 to Win11 upgrade.

While you can now possibly get away with installing Win11 on older machines, thats if you can find Win11 drivers for your old hardware or they work with the Windows built in Microsoft hardware drivers, its not advised from a security and stability standpoint. It can be done, but not advised...

TPM2.0 stops hardware level hacking and exploitation at the root level prior to OS loading. This was a major windows flaw prior to Win11.. It is how millions and millions of machines became whats known as zombie machines where your machine is used for large scale swarm attacks using your PC resources without you knowing. You only experience a slowed down PC because hardware resources are being used for nefarious reasons in the background....

TPM2.0 uses cryptographic keys and password encryption at the root level from the boot process before the OS loads to prevent this...

Like I said, I wouldnt use Windows 10, 7, XP, etc if its internet connected....

Update:

Installed just fine on one of my Win11 laptops by turning off the wifi and the antivirus just for the installation. Thanks to Neconos support for the tips.
