Quick question on PMA neck turner

I have a quick question on my new to me PMA neck turner. With the set screw loose to allow for adjustment to the mandrel (via the knob) should their play on the shaft the mandrel sits in?
With my set screw loose I can rock the mandrel forwards and backwards some. Once I tighten the set screw it's tight however.

Thanks!

I guess I never had my set screw that loose??? I don't recall the mandrel rocking at any time. But it's been quite a while since I set my PMA tool up. But, I'm thinking . . . does it really matter? Tighten up the set screws and everything is good, huh?
