Dumb PMA neck turner question

So PMA sells two types of mandrels, neck turning and expanding mandrel.
Is this a 2 step process? Expand the case using expanding mandrel and the turning mandrel is only used on the PMA neck cutter to hold the brass?

Yes. You need their expanding die too

Correct, there needs to be clearance between the brass and turning mandrel or else it grabs and overheats.

So you need a way to get the brass just slightly larger than the turning mandrel dia. That’s the expanding mandrel.
