I recently had a guy cut, crown and thread a barrel for a suppressor. He builds suppressors, so I assumed he knew his way around a lathe. The black on the right side of the pic is the suppressor adapter, barrel to the left, to give you the layout. These marks extend about 1/4-3/8" behind the crown and continue around the circumference of the barrel.
I just put the Teslong down it last night and was not happy.
What are your thoughts?
What is the correct procedure for turning muzzle threads? I assumed that it was done through the headstock, but this looks like it had some sort of pilot or tailstock center in it.
Thanks for your help.
