I've got a new one.
My work pal is over at my desk and I'm showing how something in his Nikon users manual is misleading/wrong. I showed him that moving the POI 1" takes 2X as many clicks at 50 yards as 100 is just a function of an MOA being an angular measurement. The manual doesn't mention range directly, it talks about the parallax setting. OK, fair enough...the manual *was* confusing.
Then he throws out that the clerk that sold him his (second) scope extolled the barrel life of the 6.5 Creedmoor and threw out the number 10,000 round as being what he should expect before accuracy degrades. He got a little bent out of shape when I told him that he probably couldn't get half of that (I.e., 5000).
