A pet peeve of mine;

What the heck is so difficult about pronouncing Hornady? I've overheard guys say Hornaday (.....as in "have a good day".) I 'll bet these same gentlemen who eat a twinkie with their little pinkie finger pointing up would tell you that they can't handle a .300 Weatherbay.

Kreiger, in German, is pronounced Kry-ger.
Norwegians pronounce it Kree-ger and roll the Rs.
Polish prounounce it Kray-ger and roll the Rs.
The Turks pronounce it Kuria-gar and roll the Rs.
The Dutch pronounce it Kree-ha and roll the Rs.

It's not "Kreiger". It's "Krieger".

now that we've settled "pecan" , How about "nuclear"? ...just for the fun of it...

But what about "Carcano" Italian rifles?

I've always said "sar-cah-no", but recently heard an old-timer say "car-can-no"

here's one, the MOST abused word in our world FORSTER not ''FORESTER''. I've seen it spelled right (once in awhile), never pronounced right!!
