Since I first worked with him I have added two things to my stock maintenance process:

I always carry a microfiber cloth. Yes, they are that nice of a finish!

I also use, at his recommendation, a ceramic spray wax on my stocks that have a smooth polished finish. I find this eliminates any need for powder or dryer sheets being used in my bags. Just the smallest amount of wax rubbed onto the stock makes them slide better than they ever have or anything else I ever used.

Ceramic spray is the Bees knees!!
Even on polished aluminum rails.
Slickers 2 eels f~×<!n in a bucket of snot!!
Just say no to stock tape!!

No stock tape. Don't need it, don't want to put it on the nice finish.

We won't even talk about the durability of my finish clear compared to automotive.
Let's just say automotive will get the job done but will not hold out in comparison to my top coat.
34 years a journeyman painter and sprayed every major manufacturers top of the line clears is what gives me the experience/knowledge to make this claim.

78 Ferrari 308 sprayed in Glasurit's 460 high glamor.
18 straight hours of prepping, tapeing, and spraying in someone else's house.
Clocked out at my job on Friday @5 drove 4 hours, took a nap and went to work.

What ceramic spray do you like the best?

MOTHER'S is about $26
Turtle Wax is half the money.
Both products will achieve the same effect.
After cleaning you rifles barrel just wipe it down!
