Problems with a Henry 22 rifle

Bought a new Henry Big Boy in .41 mag a few weeks ago. I’d call the gun “Good”. Not great, not terrible. The lever is a little wobbly. The action has to be SWIFTLY cycled to eject empty shells. Fit and finish are good for a rifle in this price range. Not a fan of the no-glare finish on the action. Like many other Henry owners, I’m don’t care for the buckhorn sights. Planning on an aperture setup. But since it’s a few hundred bucks less than a Model 94 and actually made in the USA, I’m generally pleased with the quality.

You really cant cycle any of their lever guns slowly, and I have found some marlins the same way. Rack it fast and repeat.LOL

Bore Scopes. Ugh! I got one last month. Looked at my F Class barrel for the first time. Had a couple of craters about 11 inches from the bore. Never bothered me before the bore scope, but now it's all I think about. Same thing for an AR 10 barrel from a maker who guarantees, 1MOA or less. Never seen chatter marks like that. Haven't finshed building it yet, so I don't know how it shoots. The shooting is the test. I am afraid that if we knew what our barrels looked like, many of us would loose confidence in our rifles.
