Problem with n ew Lapua 6BR brass.

I would think not many guys use magnum primers in a 6BR. I though magnum primers were used for cartridges with larger amounts of powder. Does a pocket uniformer go in all the pockets easily? Are the cups well centered in the opening when you push?
CCI 450 or magnum primers are whats used in 6br and 6 dasher.

well, just bent a Lee de-priming pin removing the Federal 205M primers from these cases. next batch, i used CCI BR4's. they went in much easier. we will see how they decap.

I grabbed a new piece of Lapua from an unopened box.

K&M uniformer in the pocket as far as it will go. Notice the gap:

Pushing the case against the uniformer as hard as I could, a .012 feeler gauge slips in the gap:

Gave the uniformer one full turn by hand. You can clearly see where it's cutting the radius between the side and the floor. That's the .012 gap seen earlier:

Good shootin' :) -Al
Same issues with latest box of lapua brass. Using BR to shoot out of BRA, no issues seating cci 400’s to fireform. BR 4’s were a different issue, couldn’t seat primers to close bolt on 4 cases out of the box.

Nick.
