Problem with light strikes

Different primers, standard, mag, and Br are all different over the chrony. Thats I need to know. Dont care what the manufacturer says. Or what someone says or thinks. They do have an effect on the group. If you dont know this, you have not tested it or you do not shoot small enough to see it.

OP, a picture of the primers would help

The lightbulb just lit. Savage? Make sure the bolt is COMPLETELY CLOSED. Ran in to this issue before.

How does closing the bolt on a high seated primer seat it .008" below the case head? Seems it would be extended some or flush depending on the chambers headspace.

I made two changes that have eliminated the occurrence of light strikes

1. I replaced the new-style firing pin in my Model 11 with a Model 10 style firing pin. I also installed a Lambeth bolt lift kit. The instructions recommended that I disassemble the firing pin and in this process I was able to adjust the protrusion of the pin to .065. I can tell that the spring of the new assembly is more powerful than the old one because I can no longer push the cocking pin up the ramp with my thumb.
2. I moved the priming operation to my Bonanza press - slower but more accurate.

The whole problem has turned out to be a weak firing pin spring. IMO you should not be able to cock the firing pin the way that you said that you could with the old assembly. Way too many shooters, including all of the short range benchrest competitors that I know (including record holders and Hall of Fame members) seat primers by feel for that to be an issue. You should feel the primer come to a definite stop at the bottom of the pocket. With the variations in primers and pockets, seating to a particular depth is actually not as good. It sound more precise, but it is not better.
