Is it possible to have such a light primer strike that it not set off the charge completely..?
I had a pistol (.38 spl ) primer with a super light hit , think dropping the bolt on an AR then ejecting the live round... The round stuck the bullet in the barrel but there was unburned powder in the case and barrel... Got home and pulled a few and weighed charge it was loaded on my Dillon 550 and was just fine and ten+ rounds before it were fine although I did find another one with a light strikes and that round went way low on the target..
We have been noticing light strikes and sometimes the round just not going off at all , it's been getting worse... The gun got sent back to the manufacturer today and will be sold when returned , I just won't trust one after a problem as a carry gun... I check each round before seating a bullet always so it definitely had powder and even though these were CCI primers it's done it with Federal also....
So I have never had this problem and wondered if it was even possible.... Any questions will be answered if needed and as always thanks for your time and help....
