Problem with Auto Trickler V4

Starting to have problems with my V4. Its overthrowing the desired drop by as little as .002 to .100 grains almost 50% of the time. I'm dropping Varget. I have leveled, Calibrated, and nothing seems to help. Looking for suggestions! TKS, Capt. Jack

Unplug the scale and leave it for about 10 minutes or so before powering back up. This resets the electronics. It fixed mine doing the same thing. You might also back off a half grain or so on your initial drop and adjust the trickler speed as needed.

I think it is important to clarify what the "calibration" step really means on an AT4. Most importantly, the "calibration" step does NOT change any machine settings. It merely measures the powder dispensing flow rate. I think "Assessment" would be a more accurate description. Adam describes the process here.

Once you have the machine delivering close to the recommended 0.2 gn/s spec, then you can play with the speeds and cut over points to reduce the overall dispensing time. HTH.

Thanks that helped!

Make sure the powder dispensing mechanism that sits on the 3 rubber bumpers/grommets are where they should be, and the one on the rear as well. And every things is nice and snug on top. I notice they tend to move around affectioning the angle of dangle on the powder tubes, in relationship to gravity. Texas heat.

I've had the rear of the housing be off-kilter on the pad, which causes a "nose-down" orientation. Does weird things to the consistency. Make sure you're roughly centered on all 3 pads.
