Private gun sales

In Kalifornia, all transactions must go through an FFL. Shipping out of state must also go FFL to FFL, so no shipping directly to FFLs out of state. Makes no sense to me. You'd think that they'd be happy to get guns out of the state. It's inconvenient and drives up the price due to shipping and transfer fees, but it's not the End of the World. Yet.

The problem with this whole scenario is that a significant portion of gun owners did not post comments pointing out the shortfalls of the rule during the public notice comment period. I.e. react negatively. However, one article I read said that large numbers of anti-gunners were well informed and motivated to send in positive support for the rule. I tried to motivate people and this forum was the only site that responded by sending in negative comments. I offered my trust lawyer money to write a boiler plate negative comment so I could post it here at Accurate Shooter, but he ignored my request. My post on rimfire central was taken down as it was deemed "political".

So, while most gun owners sleep, the anti crowd gains an inch, another inch, and another inch. One day they might achieve the whole 36 inches. In other words, it's like working a football down the field for a touchdown, but there's no third down rule.

I'm not an attorney. But my understanding of the private transfer law is that it is intended to eliminate the "gun show loophole". i.e., private transfers without a background check. if you are transferring firearms through a legitimate FFL, be it your own or another person, there should be no concern.

I do not support it. Disclaimer. Go after the criminals, not the guys selling a rifle to a fellow shooter.

Edit: it's not a law. It's an illegitimate decree from a president over stepping his bounds. The courts will decide in the end.

I wish you were correct. With the 3 letter agencies total disregard to the United States Supreme Court it really doesn’t matter. What did the court say about college loan “forgiveness” ? What happened?
What did the court say about the EPA overreach? What did they dictate Thursday? It goes on……they are dealing with “law abiding citizens “ they control, no interest in attempting to control the corrupt, they don’t listen.

Can’t disagree with you brother. “For the people” no longer exists.

On a side note, I had to show my ID to buy a cigarette lighter today. The clerk didn’t just read it. She scanned it into her system.
A while back, I had to show my ID to purchase a 3 pack of black Sharpy markers. Got me to wondering, What in the hell are they doing with sharpies to cause a retailer ask for ID?

Don't worry though you don't have to share that ID to vote. I would have told both of them clerks to f$$$ off keep their stuff.

I`m right with you. I`ve been telling people well past 50+yrs, that if you don`t get rid of the 1960`s hippies, they will be taking over the country. And here we are. Nobody listened, nobody cared. And now their fruitcake kids are coming into power to continue the take over.

Everything, has a price. To bad we can`t afford it now. The gun community is it`s own worst enemy.
Sh!t, more than half of the gun owners don`t even vote. But here we are, still b!tchin and complaining.

I don`t know how many hundreds of times i`ve heard a gun owner say....
"that`ll never happen here" And then it did.

What the government don't know, won't hurt em...Or something along those lines right? Always has been, and always will be my philosophy with these F'kin idiots. They are the real crooks here. Taxing us all to death, inflation, laws on every little thing. It's ridiculous.

The government knows everything you say an do and where you go.

We`ve allowed them to get to big. That is on ALL of us.

MY question is, how do you stop them, now.
