Primers

@K22 - there's been primers available on the net - although you may not like the prices. But they are available almost daily. Many times, available primers are posted in this thread almost daily:

Thanks a bunch - will check it out.

the shotgun primers i have wont fit in a 308 case
Mine won't either...until I machine the 308 cases in a lathe collet, fairly easy. 3 steps, bore new hole for press fit champer hole same as primer cup major dia...to seat flush in 308 Win case, light champher on entry hole....press in your shotgun primer...takes a special tool to decap...ordinary decapping pin just pushed out the anvil. A larger dia pin is necessary. Not for high power loads as case integrity is compromised with this set up. Look for low PSI loads and subsonic. Now your 308 is cheaper than the 300 blackout, with half price primers, that are available.

thats interesting—. ill have to take some measurements. thanks

I need therapy on the new price level for the price of a single primer. The logic of .15 to .20 per primer is so out of wack. Including tax, hazmat and shipping.
These have to be the same people buying electric cars and paying 2 times retail cost, to save a dollar on gas. The math makes no cents.
I agree completely - but what is scary is that it appears the list price of many of the primers are now at the "crazy" pricing level. If history repeats - we will not see primer prices drop much from the retail prices. Eventually - they will be in supply enough to warrant sales - but I fear they will be sales from current pricing. It really isn't much different from when primers went from $2.00 to $4.00. If ammo doubles in price - it remains justified to pay twice as much on components.
