I dispose of them in a large brushfire that I have here on the forum occasionally. I sit by the fire while roasting weenies and threw two or three or four into the fire at a time and it adds a little excitement to the event as they pop, when the fire is large and roaring the primers are just a little speck of the energy going on and nothing to worry about

Way back in the 60's I placed a LR primer on Mom's coil burner kitchen stove. Hit the high setting and ran. Sounded like a .22 short when it popped. That anvil chipped the painted ceiling. Fixed it with Colgate tooth paste. It was never discovered.
