Primer Seater

Looking for a primer seating tool for hand priming, I've got a RCBS priming hand tool but it's just not working properly for small rifle primers. I want to get one dedicated tool I can use for small rifle primers that works.

Been using a Bench mounted unit that Bullets.com sells. Works for large and small primers, easy to switch from one to another and easy to regulate depth of seating primer. Nice, bomb proof, and little to mess up. I think it's worth the money, especially if you are " experienced" and suffering hand fatigue. "Works good."
D

The Lee AutoPrime (older one with square or even older with round) are better than the folding plastic ones today but they do a great job and provide good feel. It's the only Lee tool I own.

I prime every case with a hand tool. Started off with a Lee, then a RCBS, years ago that was the choice. Finally settled on the K&M primer tool w/ dial indicator. It is pricey, but is the best I've ever found. The dial indicator really shows you how much variance there is in primers. I have friends that swear by the Sinclair.

I use both the K&M priming tool and RCBS bench mounted primer tool modified by Darell Holland. If i was buying a new priming tool I would definitely go for the K&M with the dial indicator.
The Holland/RCBS is good too I just wish it had the dial indicator built into the base. Holland modified the RCBS by mounted it to a base and placing an adjustable .001 stop bar for ultra accurate repeatable primer seating.

Interesting. Have you called RCBS? In what way is it 'not working?'

Found the Sinclair priming tool, Sinclair's web site leaves a little bit to be desired. Anyway, I'm going to give their product a try and see if I can get my 223 brass primed properly. Not certain but it looks as though you've got to hand feed primers in one at a time.

Yep

Not bad at all when you get used to it
