Prices shot up when Vista and Hodgdon started buying up the industry. Take a look at the product lines they've bought up. I have enough supplies to last me a while, but then I dont HAVE to shoot 1000s of rounds a week. Ill shelve my stuff until sanity returns. If people don't think there's price conditioning going on they've got there head up there a$$, just read the article Vista just put out. Sure things have gone up but unless I've missed it I cant find anything else thats gone up almost 300%
I drive a 99 F-250 with 298,000 miles on it so farI got to laugh. First of all if you were smart, you would of learned years ago to stock up on stuff while it was available, instead of buying your usual case of beer every weekend or spending 80K on a loaded pick-up truck. I don't see people complaining when they spend 4 grand for 4 wheels and 4 grand for 4 tires for your pick-up that you just spent a fortune on. Lester the price molester isn't the only one who is selling stuff at high prices. Back in 2019 Powder Valley was selling H4198 for 192 bucks. In the 3rd week in December of last year they went from 240 to 279. Same with primers. In 2019 205's were 30 bucks now they are 70. 205's were 35 now they are 90. BR4's were about 47 now they are 105. So now what is PV gouging? They run a business like everyone else. It's obvious a lot of people on this site have never been a business owner. So in the end, everyone who's bitching is either going to quit shooting or shut up and shell out. There is nothing anybody can do to change that. Some people on this site's favorite fantasy line is, we all got to stick together and not buy from this place or that place. WRONG! That is never going to happen PERIOD! Why because someone is always going to buy stuff no matter what the cost. You know when I go to matches I hear a lot of my fellow competitors complaining that they are running low on primers or powder or bullets or brass. Me I don't have that problem because while I have enough stuff for 2 lifetimes, I'm running around in a 99 motorhome and all these guy's who are complaining about what they don't have are running around in brand new fully loaded pick-ups. Must be nice. Go load your new trucks up in your rifle and shoot it. I spent over 100K years ago on components and I won't complain that I drive a shitbox instead of a 80 grand truck.
i'm with you there! no way I will pay them stupid prices and the newbies dont even know better.Thumb sideways I’m not getting out but I have not shot anything in quite some time other than hunting
And you didn't even brag about your lifetime supply of primers! My car is a 2012 Toyota Sequoia. First and last new personal vehicle I have ever owned.

perfect time for them to add a brick of primers for every new truck sold!!! who cares about a full tank of gas! This seems like a good spot for telling everyone how much they can save on a new truck at
Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho.
Sorry they only sell Dodge and Chevy.
Edit, this post was purely just for laughs.
After fuel, food, lodging and a speeding ticket, I saved $8000 on my last truck. And you didn't even brag about your lifetime supply of primers!
Lester the price molester
I'm seeing a couple of month supply of primers. What you going to use next month? It will be a long time before I would ever even consider paying that!View attachment 1307769
Prices are never coming back to $40 a thousand. People have yet to see the inflation hit. Trucking rates are astronomically above all time highs...truckloads are moving for 5 to 8 bucks a mile and those are normal loads. Rate have gone up 200 percent in the last 2 years. It must be passed down. Brace yourself. At 140.00 per k no thanks. People need to stop buying and prices will come down. Simple economics.
Paul
where are they still buying 40 bucks a thousand primers to scalp. I was at Cabelas the other day and the shelf was loaded with primers...at 90 bucks a thousand....I would love to know who is still selling primers at 40 a thousand when in stock...You can thank gun broker. For the primer high prices. I know of people going to the store and buying primers for 40 per 1000 and listing them on gun broker for 200. and selling them. Same as rimfire.
So if I was make 2 dollar a box and a scapler was making 150.00 per box.
So they have to put there foot down to stop the scalpers. I just wish I knew of the fools that paid the price.
Because I have ocean view property in AZ that I would like to sell.
