I have not tried another primer yet because the primer flow is a symptom of either excessive pressure or firing pin/hole shape/size/protrusion. I have some Rem 7 1/2 that I can use but the Fed 205M should be adequate for this application. The difference between a 205M and a Rem 7 1/2 are not that significant and if the pin/bolt are the correct sizes then the primer change should not change the situation.Have you tried a different lot or brand of primer. Primers can be defective.
More jump, shorter OAL- some say it reduces pressure. THINK Weatherby.
No I didn’t. I mailed the bolt back to Pierce today to have him inspect it.Have you checked firing pin protrusion? I have seen some that protruded too far out of the bolt face.
