Do you think using a primer with a harder material or a larger OD loosens your pockets quicker?
Such as CCI 400 vs Wolf
thanks Don

hot loads loosen primer pockets. there are larger dia. primers like the BR's that might stay tight longer. either back off or realize brass life will be short

Both primer cup and cartridge brass material are the same 70/30, brass/zinc as far as i know.

The larger OD of a primers thin cup would be compressed by the thicker wall of the primer pocket. This is how i see it.

As said above, pressure expands pockets and it may take 5 firings or less to do it.
