Pressure in 6.5 x 55 Swede

Being a MAC user I can't get Quickload.

Can any kind soul tell me the pressures for:

140gr Sierra MatchKIng, Lapua case, 46.2 gr N160 seated to 3.020"

Using CCI 200 primers.

The load is below the VHT max, but I want to be certain as I'm seating well below the VHT OAL of 3.150"

Rifle is a Tikka 695.

As a further thought, are there alternative to Quickload particularly for the MAC?

Many thanks.

Really should have your fired case H2O capacity and the length of the case you measured for accurate results. Mac! How about Apple! Lol

American 6.5x55 is loaded to a chamber pressure is 46,000 cup or 51,000 psi in deference to the older military Mauser actions still being used. The European CIP pressure standard is 55,000 psi max for modern firearms.

That is because it was first chambered in the "widdle" 1894 Mouser - a fairly weak action.

Correct, the pressure you listed is the "safe" pressure for older military Mauser actions, "BUT" the OP has a modern Tikka 695.
So just remember "someone" here doesn't like the word milsurp because its below his accuracy standards.
So we have to type quietly and only wisper "milsurp rifles" very softly.
(or else the benchrest god will become angry) ::)

Thanks for the comments.
You get used to the MAC comments very quickly - so it goes. Perhaps it's Quickload that has the problem. :)

Most milsurp mausers went to the US I believe post WWII - still some in the UK - rest of us buy modern. :)

The problem I'm solving here is lack of obturation - sooty cases.
The VHT loads are notoriously conservative (in deference to the milsurp pressure of 40-42000 psi) for max loads and OAL - 3.150" will not hold a 140grn SMK firmly.
I'm using a reduction of OAL to boost pressure with some success.
The question is; does a reduction in OAL of .130" to 3.020" with a load 0.5grn below the VHT max push pressures beyond 380mPA(55,100psi) ?

Please, what is this 'benchrest' ;)
