Preferred chronograph these days?

After going into the set up program, and punching in 6" offset. I place
my muzzle even with the edge of the radar and 4 inches away. Missing
a shot is rare using the built in microphone. I have never needed to need
or buy an external trigger. I just had a person at the range all pissed off not
getting pistol shots on his Lab. Did you set it for pistol, I asked ?? Most
people buying one, I swear, never learn, yet know about working with the
set up program then turn around and bad mouth it.

They also will have two units next to each other on the same channel, and wonder why neither is working. It's all in the manual and it takes 5 sec to change the channel.

The round robin is not BS. It is the only way to avoid a condition making one group artificially better or worse than another. As opposed to having three shots of a group in a good or bad condition, Each shot of all the groups will see that condition.
Yes I know the sales pitch but for me the RR adds a layer of complexity I just don’t have time for. I spent a year working with it so I’ve compiled my thoughts and targets. I want the best data I can get and when I drive to the 1K line and find a disaster waiting for me that’s the BS’. I don’t compete in a round robin format I compete with groups and they don’t share any condition other than their own, if my red charge gets stretched out from a breeze I’ll know what to expect in game conditions.

Just me of course but I am not totally without merit.

The list of repeat winners at Deep Creek suggest it isn't BS but the best way to tune.

Also, the round robin is exceedingly easy and simple. Color bullet tips, shoot one shot from each group until finished, then connect the colors at the target.

If you don't want to do it that's your choice, but then no more whining when you don't shoot well. On the other hand, since I AM a round-robin tuner, I can whine all I want when I don't shoot well......

we are getting off topic here… I won’t dispute any winners at deep creek, those guys are amazing.

I am betting they are winning because they can shoot and not round robin. Lol

Shooting and round-robin tuning go hand in hand. Last year at DC I don't think I had any one place finishes. This year I had five. The big difference was in improving my tuning, and round robin shooting is part of that.

At least to your mental game which is important. Not sold that round robin does anything myself. I can find a good load without it but if you feel better doing it then do it.

The groups were consistently smaller as well, so it is more than the mental game. Also, it take way less rounds to tune a load with RR.

Regardless, I don't care how anyone else does it. I just wasn't going to let my friend Jim (@SPJ) get away with calling it BS. That might dissuade someone from trying it.

The good thing about this is I now now I one more thing to give him crap about at matches, and that is always a plus as I was running out of such things...... :p
