Preferred brand of bullet for prairie dogs

Just wondering what people are using.

My experience after our first outing was that nothing seemed to have the terminal performance of VMax bullets. I saw several "doubles" achieved with Sierras and Noslers but never witnessed signs of pass-through with Hornadys. Calibers represented were .17, .22 and 6mm. Since then, all I've used is Hornady and my PD shooting buddies converted as well.

Ive been running the Hornady Vmax since they came out & Zmax bullets now since they run less $$.
Ive run speers, sierra, noslers and they all do the job.

++ on the good ole TNT, used it for many years but last 15 years or so its been mainly the 87vmax. Destroys them out of 6AR T40 and 6 Hagar and stills does well on those less than calm days. Buddy shooting my 6 Hagar actually had a triple that pulverized all three dogs...pups. Don't know how it happened but all 3 were very close to one another and looked like they got hit individually, no shrapnel hit either...destroyed. Almost passed out from laughing so hard when I saw it thru the spotter. Most fun! Eric in DL

I've shot v-max, z-max, a-max, blitzkings, varmint grenades, ballistic tips, and varmagedons. Honestly can't tell the difference on pdogs. I shoot what each rifle likes, but mostly hornady vmax and amax.

204 Ruger 39 Sierra, 11 twist
223 Rem 53 V-Max, 9 twist
22-250 Rem 60 V-Max, 12 twist
22-250ai 53 V-Max, 9 twist
6BR 55 Nosler Lead free, 12 Twist

The brand that helps me accomplish the best score and grouping possible in each caliber I reload for. Actually, my rifles tells me what that brand is, that after testing brands such as Berger, Sierra, Barts and whatever brands I see others achieving the success they seek.

Being a G-hogger, the first time I shot a PD it opened my eyes. (and sent his in two directions). I discovered real quick that PD's are little fur covered water balloons. So whatever is cheap and shoots decent is what I will load this year.

all of the bullets will kill the PDs quite dead. Higher velocity seems to induce more red mist.
I use Sierra 55gr Blitzkings in 223 and 22-250,
Berger 64 Gr Varmint in 22-250
Berger 88 gr Varmint in 6mm BR
