Precision Reloading for 25-06 Using Berger 115 gr. VLD Hunting Bullets

I have the first Remington sender sold in Oregon way back then. my 25-06 and the many I load all love the 115 berger vld. my go to load is 58grs h-1000 seat .010 of lands. I have shot much game with it and got my buck last year @904 yds. speed is 3105fps this is a killer load.

That is a long poke. Maybe the only 25 cal bullet that would get there with enough speed left and expand properly at that distance.

Effect_20171026_212431.jpg Rl22/53.5 gr is my load for my 25/06 with the 115 Berger hvld. At 200yd 5 shots one Ragged Hole. Works good on whitetails and hogs

Greetings!
I shoot a Tikka T-3 25-06. I've been fortunate enough to draw out on Rocky Mountain Bighorn for Idaho for 2017!!!
I've chosen the Berger VLD Hunting in 115 gr. as my bullet of choice. Right now, we've been successful at tightening our group down to approximately 1 & 1/2" at 100 yards. This is nothing spectacular, but it's getting dialed in. I'm using Hodgdon Hybrid 100 V, with 50 gr. Now I'm asking for feedback. What are your "go to" powders for this bullet? I'm eager to find the ideal powder compliment. There are so few listed in the Berger reloading book. Can you offer suggestions?
I have the first Remington sendero sold in Oregon and after I had the barrel froze it has been a dream rifle. about 7 years ago berger got in touch with me to try there bullets. they sent me some 115vld and I went to work on a load. after about 50 shots I hit on a gold mine! 58grs h-1000 115 berger @ 3125fps. I have to seat them way out as the barrel has a ton of bullets down it but it still shoots better than I can hold sometimes. it always gets 1/4 in groups @ 100yds and if wind not real strong it can hold 1/2 in to 3/4 in @ 900yds. my longest shot has been on a deer @ 904yds. I now shoot bergers in all my rifles. I built up a 300rum to shoot 210 bergers and have taken it to Africa twice and have taken 14 large animals all one shot kills.

"and if wind not real strong it can hold 1/2 in to 3/4 in @ 900yds"

Going back through some old posts. Got to say if your rifle can do this, you better contact the Guinness book of world records as it's never been done before. Anyway sounds like a good shooting rifle :)

Here's a three shot group. A little less than a quarter inch CTC. Seems pretty consistent.

I tried a few different powders in my .25-06 and settled on RL22. I shoot 115 gr Ballistic Tips and get very good accuracy. The Ballistic Tips of today are not the same bullet as the Ballistic Tips of many years ago. The ones made today have a heavier jacket that work great on deer and antelope.
