I am some what new to reloading and have a couple of questions. As far as powders go i would like made 3 or 4 different ones to use. I have varget and H4350 for 270 and down cals. I have used 4831 on bigger stuff 30 cal looking for a powder to use in 300 ultra mag and 338. Also need something for 450 marlin. Any suggestions for what i am loading would be great thanks.

Retumbo works well in my 300 RUM. My last 3-shot group at 500 yards was under two inches.

I cannot say anything for the cases of choice.but will say that when loaded in a 308 with a 208gn A-max or a 210gn Berger R17 really works great.even a good friend of mine from Va. loves this powder.he has made 3 records 800,900,and 1000 yards Jr.F class useing this powder and the 208gn A-max.

and I too see that it burns clean with little to no effort to clean the bore.so why not give it a try.

No advice on the bigger calibers, but be sure to try H4831 or IMR4831 in your .270. I get outstanding results in two different .270s with H4831.
