powder valley shipping ?

I just placed an order with powder valley and they don't quote shipping. For those who have used this sponsor are the shipping charges reasonable or am I in for a nasty suprise ?

If you scroll down toward the bottom of PVI's home page, they have a general summary of shipping charges, starting with hazmat fees. I have never felt over charged for shipping when I order from them.

No nasty surprise. I just got 8# of powder, 5k primers, 600 6mm bullets, and 200 .224 bullets and it was $15.95 + 28.50 hazmat.

That's a good reference right there.

;D

Powder Valley is the first place I go when looking for reloading supplies. Nine times out of ten their prices are better than the competition and their shipping costs have always been more than reasonable. I just ordered 8 pounds of powder from them and several different types of bullets. The only problem with PV is finding what you want in stock. High demand items such as pistol powder sells out quickly because of demand.

What everyone else said. Also, I'm impressed with their packaging. In a 500 bulk box of .30 cal. 210 gr. bullets order, none of the pills spilled out of the OEM box.

Unlike other fancy websites, when PVI indicates they have stock, they have stock, you won't get jerked around.

They also don't show up on gunbot or ammoseek with any accuracy, check their website often don't rely on searches.

I won't buy from any other than Powder Valley very reasonable, shipping also right in line and when they say in stock they mean in stock no hassle or BS

I do not have any local sources for reloading supplies, except a Bass Pro that is 50 miles from me and has minimal choices, so I order everything from Powder Valley. I don't even look anywhere else for better prices. They are very reasonable in both price of the items ordered and shipping, etc.

I've ordered from Powder Valley before and their pricing and shipping is fair. It does explain on the site how their shipping process works. When you buy rifle powder online, it's best to buy in bulk due to the HAZMAT fee. Brownells last month had a special and the HAZMAT fee was 1 cent so I ordered a bunch. Still waiting for Powder Valley to get some H4350....

I can't remember just how I did it, but I knew what the shipping would be before I paid. Did have to do it on line and it was simple. Got a e-mail invoice and a tracking number.

I had some of the same concerns with my 1st Powder Valley order. Their response was the shipper, FedEx or UPS would calculate the shipping cost and they would bill the exact amount. If you think about it, it is likely less $ than the flat rates from the large dealers like X/Y/Z charge.
