Powder Scale Reccommendations

I have a pretty cheap digital powder scale and would like to upgrade to something decent without breaking the bank. I am looking for something that responds quickly when trickling a granular at a time and also beeps when you hit your target weight. Any recos? Thanks a lot.

Anyone try this? I have a FX120i but just curious.

It does okay, but the main issue with it is the response rate. It is slow compared to the FX-120i and if the idea is to close a loop on it then the slowness becomes significant.

I have the v4 fx120i. Here is a scale that really impresses me. Have had for about a month. That's 1 kernel.of varget on the pan. Zoom in.
i have the a&d hr100a, 10x the resolution of the fx120i, its too sensitive though to be really useful for weighing powder

My old AND is too sensitive for powder weighing.
I use it to check working weights against standards.
Use my EJ54D2 for powder, primers, bullets, and cases.

Weight range of CCI450 3.615grains to 3.755grains.
Ran it on the self contained battery, on the stove to sort primers then 200 cases and 200 Berger 85.5.
Still showed full bars. Have no idea how long it will run on one charge.

Says 70 hours on batteries

Thanks. Skipped over that in the manual :)
If you have the check weights to cal at a lower value, I found linearity was within a count (0.0002 grams) on low range when calibrated @ 10 grams.

Glad you are happy with the scale, Whew :)

I love my creedmoor scale

bought for a small range scale that had the ability to compete with the fx120. This is small, will run on 4 aa batteries for they say, 70 hours. No need to haul the fx120/v4 around. Not with this scale.
if you shop it right...within the last 30 days I bought for $425.00. Not much more than the Creedmoor.

Ready to take our weight sorted rounds to the 600 match tomorrow, weather permitting.
The wife has been shooting one box of 'Premium' 22 Nosler brass (bought on sale @ Midway).
Lost one when it stuck to the annealer wheel for two cycles. About 90 fall within a total range of less than 1 grain.
Sorted 4 groups of 20 to about 0.2 grains across the each group.
Sorted and measured 80 Berger 85.5 bullets to abut 0.04 grains.
Sorted primers to 0.02 grains, used the 3.66gr ones this time, maybe the 3.64gr ones next time.
Charged and pinched powder granules (SB6.5) to a ridiculous 31.70 +/- 0.01 gr indicated.
When done loaded rounds followed the original case sorting.

Did the same with my twice, third, and ??? fired Dogtown cases.
Used the Low Range which does take longer to settle.

See if @sparker has a tuned beam scale ready to ship. I’m a simple old beam scale guy. I’ve used a beam scale for 50 years. Scott’s scales measure to a kernel of powder. I don’t like the new electronic gizmos. I can’t see how it works and I can’t fix it. Seems butterflies in Africa make them go wonky.

Do you still shoot a flintlock and a wooden longbow too? Once apon a time the tuned beam scale was about the best you could get not anymore these new scales and throwers blow it away
