Powder droppers

Are any made for stick powders like the IMR's, that will throw a charge without cutting or crushing the powder.

It helps to mount the powder drop to a solid table. And then there are longer handles for more leverage. I have little to no interest in improving the powder measures ability to cut powder but if I did I would start with the RCBS Uniflow, I have extra rotors for all of them.

The old B&M, Lyman 55 with Culver insert, Redding, Ross all cut powder.
There use to be on that was advertised in the Handloader magazine that they clamed would measure powder with out cutting kernals. I can't think of the name.

The short answer is No. Harrels, Redding BR, Culver - all cut kernels if you allow it. Measure your charge a tad under and trickle the rest. Best way with extruded powder. Otherwise find a ball powder that will suit your needs.
ChargeMaster with mods is an alternative but there is no time savings there either.

I've only ever had three measures which didn't chomp on extruded powders, the Lee's and a Johnson's Quick Measure. The QM worked well enough but occasionally it would hang up on a kernel of extruded resulting an overweight the next throw or holding the valve open leaking powder on the bench. After buying the Lee's (Perfect-Classic) I made a guy a killer deal on the QM/w accessories and two Uniflows, one NIB. The only measures I have now are the two 55s for ball-flake powders and the two Lee's for every thing else.

I have an original charge master, generally throws right on the money give or take 1-2 kernels but it is slow and no mods. for this one. That is why I was wondering about a dropper.

There can be good points and bad to anything. I have the cheap Lee Perfect and an RCBS Uniflow. The Lee doesn't cut kernels, but powder will bridge and hang up inside. I have to lightly tap on it to make sure that the entire charge volume comes out. It is more consistent than the RCBC. The RCBS can cut kernels, but never had powder hang up inside. I still set them to through light, then trickle on a scale. Just for curiosity one day, i through 15 charges with the Lee and didn't check them with the scale. I shot them in calm conditions on the 1000yd line. They all held one moa!

It is not really a dropper but the Lyman Autoscale will dispense stick powders without crunching them.

Well i have a lee and a harrell. That harrell is pretty and sure feels nice in action but the lee perfect powder measure is just as accurate.

I have a chargemaster but i can drop a charge and trickle on my gempro with my little dandy faster and more accurately.

I do use the chargemaster when i am lazy.

A Lee Perfect or Lee Classic. Of the two I prefer the Classic.

I bought a new Perfect years ago. When I got it I looked at it and just put it in the cabinet because it was all plastic. Years latter I was loading IMR 3031 and it was locking up my high priced powder throwers so I decided to give the little plastic Lee that had been sitting new in the box all those years. I could not believe it, smooth as silk and accurate as heck. Now the high dollar throwers are in the cabinet.
