For a 30mm one piece, the current design of 1 inch from center to top of rail is about as low as you can get it (the material connecting one ring to the other gets too thin if you go shorter). I haven't worked on other heights for that one yet. What would you like to see?

Packaging adds some expense - but I chose this route after pricing "nice" cardboard boxes - not that much difference.

A 1.5"-1.6" range..Something like that. I have barrel blocks on a few of my target rifles and getting bell clearance with 56mm bells can be an issue. Don't get me wrong on the packaging...I do like it.

Hi CJ6. Here is a model of a 30mm with a 1.5 inch center height. It looks a little different being so tall, but I tried to keep similar lines to the 1.0. Let me know what you think!

I'm getting some pretty positive feedback here, which is flattering. Not sure about production - selling to the public is whole different ballgame from what I'm doing currently (automotive). Considering it!

And please consider a beadblast/matte finish for those of us that wander the wild places and need to cover the glitz.

As a matter of fact, I hadn't considered making any shiny ones - those pics were only showing the parts as they came off the machine. The first ones will be matte black. Samples are going to anodize this week.

If there is interest, I'll look into "shiny" - I'll have to talk to anodize and see what's possible. I know when we have "clear" done, it's usually dull (from the etching process iirc). I've never had any serious cosmetic requirements go along with parts that we have done. Let me know.

Little update. I am knee deep in the prototype process still, but getting ready to send the first sample set to anodize. My laser marker has not arrived yet - and it looks like it won't until the end of this month.

(the .875 height is for 30mm individual rings only). They won't happen all at once. If you have a request let me hear it! (I have had some PM's asking for specific models and will try to make those versions first)

Still making some small design changes - wanted to soften some edges and reduce weight.

Next set should go to anodize end of next week - then we'll be ready to kick off the website and get the first requested models shipped.

Very nice in black. Great choice using 7075, finish is beautiful and it has some backbone! Be careful as this may get out of control quickly. Lol! Quality will always sell.
