If he had so much power why not just say no more guns starting right now and that would be it? You want your voice heard sign the petition and call and email your reps. If you want to sit on the couch crying about it and do nothing but wait to vote don't cry to a gunsmith when your next barrel job is 750 instead of 250 and a 2 to 3 year wait. That is the what will happen. The guys left will have to raise their price a lot and since they will be a select few they will have a long wait time.

Waste of time. This is a lame duck administration, who swore to do everything he can to write gun laws.

It doesn't matter how many signatures, or how many signatures a month you generate. You cannot generate enough in five months to have any effect.

The only way to have political consequences is to make sound political decisions.

You want to control the administration? Put up a compromise candidate who is capable of winning.

That is the only way you will control the presidency.

the hell of it is that probably less than 10% or 20% of the gun owners will stand up and be counted . look at the small percentage that belongs to the NRA or another group like that . on one of these threads a million man march was mentioned ,that's a joke , heck 1000 guys won't sign a petition for fear . the government has us where they want us , we are doomed . divide and conquer .

You just described the Democrat Party. They break the voting block into groups and then try to appeal to those groups individually (blacks, hispanics, gays, women, etc.). How could they be so stupid as to ignore the American gun owners?

I can tell you why most do not belong to the NRA. Because all the NRA wants to do is talk about the armed citizen and lobby about who to vote for. I honestly feel like I am wasting my money that I give to them. They have a legal team why have they not filed a lawsuit against the ITAR? Like I said before it works for anti hunting groups to shutdown Grizzly bear and Wolf hunts in the Western States and they clearly have the money to do it.

I read a study that 43 percent of the United States population are gun owners and it used to be higher. So with those kind of numbers how in the hell did we get into this mess? Simple people say my voice means nothing it won't do any good to speak out the NRA will stop them. But that is not the case. That petition should easily be at 100,000 + by now so spread the word to sign it.

Another reason (the reason I won't join) is Ted Nugent.

He will never speak for me.

As long as he is on the board of directors for the NRA, he is speaking for you, if you're a member. He's the reason that at least two of us won't join.

Our gun club requires all members must be NRA members.
NRA had many grants that the club has received .
Without NRA no club is protected from being closed .
That is the best part of living in the USA you can do and say
whatever you want .

Hey...I have an idea....Let's start a "Human Race" organization where all people regardless of race, sex or creed, are all treated equally UNDER THE LAW and all individuals have certain INALIENABLE RIGHTS that cannot be revoked.......oh wait....we tried that.....it's The Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights...sorry...getting older....bad memory.

Countless many get free housing, food, medical care, schooling, cell phones, monthly income, free child care etc etc etc on the one hand, and some can lie, cheat steal even to congress and the American people, and even sell nuke material to the enemy of us all, on the other hand, and they get to......................run for president! What a great country.
The only ones getting screwed are the ones in the middle that work and pay for it all.
