Both are good, I started with Peterson and found I needed to turn necks for clearanceIn your opinion, is Peterson brass equal to or better than Lapua brass? I’m interested specifically in six BR Norma chambering. Thank you!
I've only used the Peterson brass for 6BRX, 30BR, and 260AI. From what I have seen Peterson is hanging in there and doing well. However, I do not have near as many firings on the Peterson as the Lapua with either caliber except the 260AI. So far it has done well for me.In your opinion, is Peterson brass equal to or better than Lapua brass? I’m interested specifically in six BR Norma chambering. Thank you!
i second this, and have seen the same over and over again with other people. it is tough stuff, but the brass does seem to move more than lapua/alpha/adg. I still love peterson, I got 17 firings out of their cheytac stuff before signs of case/head sep, primer pockets still tight.IMO, Peterson brass is softer. I base that on how much easier it cuts when I trim.
I'll buy Lapua 1st, Peterson 2nd, and am very happy with both.
Interesting , thanks for sharing.I don't know how the 6 BR Norma cases might translate from .308's. But what I found interesting when measuring the Web Thickness of my virgin Peterson brass was that the thickness was quite a bit thicker than my Lapua brass. Apparently, that's what helps Peterson primer pockets stay tight. And, that thickness wasn't as consistent as what I found in my Lapua brass. Also, the Peterson's case volume was .6 grs H2O less than Lapua.
Don't know if you've seen this before, so here it is again:
