Perspective on Life -- what really counts

All good posts. Primers are low on my priority list. Nine months ago, my daughter gave birth to a baby girl. Seven weeks later, the baby was rushed to Riley Children’s in Indy for open heart surgery to open the collapsing veins between her heart and lungs. The baby and her mom were subsequently air lifted to Boston Children’s which is the only hospital that researches Pulmonary Vein Stenosis. Husband followed from Evansville with their other two children and dogs. His financial mgt company kindly transferred him to their Boston offices plus gave him work at home privileges. The family has been living in their travel trailer and mom and dad rotate between the hospital and the other two kids. The baby is waiting for a double lung transplant. There is no cure for PVS. They were finally able to sell their home in Indiana and make a bid on a house near Boston. Neither grandmother has held this baby, because of COVID. I would be ashamed to complain about shooting supplies after watching the strength of my daughter.

I hope the Best for your grand daughter.

Just lost my father in law to covid. Wifes mom held his hand while they unplugged him, but God is faithful. We were not allowed to be in the building. I lost 2 babies I never got to meet but God is still true, holy and faithful. No that is not as tragic as some of y'alls hardships but I can say I've seen the hand of God work in all these situations. Maybe not then but years down the road I seen. I can go on about this or that tragedy (and I got plenty) in my life and they hurt but in the end Christ is all that matters and He is why I'm here. Faith, family, friends.

My Dear Brothers ! It is with a very Heavy Heart that I listen to your burden in this life. There are no words I say that will lighten your load ,no passage I can quote for enlightenment ,or gift I can give you to brighten your day.I have endured much of the same pain and all I can say is for my self what helped me the most was to help people when ever I could ,it was for me as much as for them. With ALL my heart I hope you find some kind of comfort to see something beautiful.
