PD shooting setups

The gun of choice for the day with a bipod, a rear bag, a shooting mat, backpack with the days ammo/water/food, binoculars and boots for walking. We shoot public land and will walk 1-2 miles in, shooting the whole way.
We like the lazies that will only shoot from a bench next to the road.

Several ways to skin the cat....cut your plywood to whatever size that suits you, & screw on some folding table legs from Menards. Stagger the legs so they lay flat.

Really dig this. What were your dimensions?

48" long, 30" wide, cutout is 12" wide, 16" deep.

I've built a few for resale too. I've also settled on gluing & screwing 2 pieces of 1/2" together for the tops as the best compromise for weight vs stiffness. 3/4" alone I feel is not sturdy enough. More than an inch and the table legs stability/instability can come into play.

I use this DOA one. It’s pretty awesome. I limped along for years with a cheapie and it just finally got too wobbly.

I asked them to develop an ambi bench and they actually did it! They asked for feedback and once they got it, actually incorporated it into their final design. I paid full price. Here are some stock pics.

I shoot private property

Yep…portable table…hell even an umbrella

I let the bullets do the walking for me

My current set up:

54mm Artcise Ball head mounted on elevator base I built.

Elevator post is a 1/4 lead, 12 pitch, triple screw so it looks and feels like a 12 pitch but moves as fast as a 1/4 pitch....very fast.

It will accommodate a wide range of elevations and pan 270° around sides and rear of 6x6 with storage under. I'll simply aim 6x6 at majority of targets, shoot over handle bars, and be able to pan up to 270° side to side as needed.

Biggest benefit over bipod is lockdown mobility..
Will be able to move 6x6 with rifle pointed to the rear locked in ball head and rear bag.

Heading to Dakota's next week for maiden voyage.
