Panda bolt stop screw woes

Congrats Al. I'm sure that was a frustrating one to have sitting on the bench.

It bugged the crap outta me knowing I couldn't get it out if I wanted to.

The 1/16 and .050 hex wrenches in Chinese made Allen wrench sets fit the sockets pretty poorly and it's easy to mess up a screw or the wrench trying to remove a tight screw. IF you can find some American made Allen wrenches buy those.

Yeah, it's pretty frustrating to put a mic on one of those and see the it's three thou under nominal and almost round, when you haven't even used it yet!

When I first started, I didn’t have a laser so I took my barrels to a guy to mark. He had a medical grade laser that was ridiculous money. He told me if I ever got a stripped screw to bring it to him and he’d burn a star into it deep enough that we’d get it out. I don’t know the wattage of his, but things that are taking me 10-20 passes on my 30w he was doing in one or two…it was impressive.

Just something else next time this happens for you to think and consider. Glad you got it out.
