Panda Bolt Stop Removal

I've been wanting to polish my Panda action. In order to do it right I want to remove the bolt stop. I removed the threaded pin with a allen wrench and I thought for sure it would just fall out then. It moves and I can wiggle it but it just won't come out of the slot in the action. Is there something special about the Panda that I can't see?

Thanks for any advice offered, it's appreciated,
Lee

Nope. I’m willing to bet the pin broke above the threads and is left behind holding the bolt stop in place.
I polish a lot of pandas and have seen this. Best to send to Kelblys.

Post of pic of the bolt stop screw and we will be able to verify for sure.

You sure hit the nail on the head with your assessment. Not ever having removed the bolt stop it would have taken me a long time to get this all figured out. I can actually see where the bolt broke off now that I know to look for.

Thank you for this information and I hope other folks find this tidbit to help keep a project going.

I was preparing to send the bolt in to have the bolt face opened up so will get this all taken care of in one swoop.

BTW what do you charge to polish a Panda action?

Thanks again,
Lee

Tried that and it's still stuck. I actually just package up the bolt and action and it'll be on its way to Kelbly's tomorrow. Will be nice to have them take a good look at it all and insure all is well.

Thanks for the advice though.

Lee
