DATES: October 4 & 5, 2014.

LOCATION: Donaldsonville, La.
1. Take I-10 to the Sorrento Donaldsonville (Sunshine Bridge) exit.
2. Turn left onto LA 70. (at the caution light)
3. Go across the Sunshine Bridge and into the city of Donaldsonville. (bear right at road fork between bridge/Donaldsonville)
4. Go to the 5th light {La Hwy 1).
5. Turn left on LA 1.
6. Go approximately 3 1/2 miles to LA 943 (caution light & Black wooden rail fence on corner)
7. Turn right, go approx. 3 1/2 miles. The hwy. will then make a very sharp right turn.
8. The range will be on your left approx. 150 yds. after the sharp right turn.

TIME: Firing will commence at 8:00AM

REGISTRATION: Registration will begin at 7:00AM and close at 7:30 AM. Pre-registration is encouraged. The field will be limited to the first 60 paid participants.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all individuals who are U.S. citizens fourteen years of age or older. Louisiana residents must be a member of the Louisiana Shooting Association. (LSA membership included in entry fee). Non-residents must show proof of membership in their home State Assoc.

ENTRY INFORMATION: The NRA classification system will be used. Shooters without a Mid-Range classification will fire in Master/Unclassified. Classification card will be shown at request of range official. Entries may be mailed to Rick Stewart, 11458 Pipeline Road, Gonzales, LA 70737. Telephone 225-301-1615, 5:00PM to 8:00PM. No collect calls. Pre-registration is highly encouraged. Classes with three or less competitors will be combined into the next higher class (Ex, SS, etc.). F-Class and Prone awards will be separate. Two day entries only.

RULES: Current NRA rules shall govern.

AMMUNITION: Each competitor must provide his/her own ammunition. No tracers, armor piercing or incendiaries ammunitions will be used. No rifle larger than .30 caliber is allowed. Muzzle breaks are not allowed.

FEES: The entry fee is $60.00. Match will be held to the first 60 paid entries.
The entry fee for a Junior will be $20.00. If you withdraw 2 weeks or more before the match you will get a 100% refund. If you withdraw 1-2 weeks before the match you will get a 50% refund. If you withdraw the week of the match you will not receive a refund. $10 of the fee goes to a 1 year membership in the Louisiana Shooting Association.

Saturday October 4, 2012
MATCH 1: 600 yds. prone slow fire. Two sighting shots and twenty record shots in 22 minutes. Any Rifle/Any Sight or F-Class.
MATCH 2: 600 yds. Prone slow fire. Two sighting shots and twenty record shots in 22 minutes. Any Rifle/Iron Sight or F-Class.
MATCH 3 . 600 yds. Prone slow fire. Two sighting shots and twenty record shots in 22 minutes. Any Rifle/Iron Sight, or F-Class.

Sunday October 5, 2012
MATCH 4: 600 yds. prone slow fire. Two sighting shots and twenty record shots in 22 minutes. Any Rifle/Any Sight or F-Class
MATCH 5: 600 yds. Prone slow fire. Two sighting shots and twenty record shots in 22 minutes. Any Rifle/Iron Sight or F-Class.
MATCH 6 . 600 yds. Prone slow fire. Two sighting shots and twenty record shots in 22 minutes. Any Rifle/Iron Sight or F-Class.
MATCH 7. Aggregate scores of Match 1,2,3,4,5 & 6.


TARGETS: Prone, MR-1; F-Class, MR1-FC

AWARDS: Cash Awards and Trophies

AWARD SCHEDULE:

Individual high score of Match 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in Prone, FTR and F-Open- $5/match
Prone State Champion (match 7) $100.00
F-Class Open State Champion (match 7) $100.00
F-Class TR State Champion (match 7) $100.00

Prone Overall 2nd Place (match 7) $50.00
F-Class Open Overall 2nd Place (match7) $50.00
F-Class TR Overall 2nd Place (match 7) $50.00
Class winner $20.00
Second place class (7 competitors) $10.00
Third place class (12 competitors) $ 5.00


SAFETY: Yellow empty chamber indicators are required at all times the competitor is not in a preparation or firing period. All rifles must be removed from the line immediately after completion of fire. Any competitor firing four misses (off paper) may be removed from the line.

SCORING/PIT DUTY: All competitors will pull targets and score.

GENERAL: Water and Porta-let facilities are available at the range. There will be no lunch break. Parking on limestone parking lot only in wet conditions. Door prizes will be awarded on Saturday Oct. 4th following Match 3 and lunch. (Two day entries only.)

LUNCH: Food and drinks will be provided on Saturday Oct. 4 following Match 3.

CHALLENGES: $2.00 will be charged per challenge, but will be refunded should competitor win his/her challenge. Posted scores may be challenged before awards are presented.

Only a few unpaid slots left. If you're thinking of shooting the match, don't wait too long. Paid entries will bump those that are on the plan to shoot, but haven't paid yet list.

You guys should come to the club championships July 12th, 1 class F-open and one class F T/R. Me and Nick will be there.

Hey Ben, you won't regret coming. Great match with stiff competition and a table full of prizes. I think they had over 10k in prizes that were given out....... ;) :)

Well, last Friday the weatherman said an 80% chance of rain for this weekend. By Monday it had dropped to 0%. Weather should be great!

They have quite a few years experience getting this done. Their matches are the most fun I have shooting. They are rigorous about the rules and safety but they just know how to do it without being officious. As a matter of fact, they don't tolerate officiousness too well.
Quite a group of folks.

Is that a word? "Officiousness" LOL

I have pics of the 2nd and 3rd place plaques, the prone and Open plaques are just like the FTR plaques.......1st place gets a acrylic trophy the shape of Louisiana with all the engraving, i don't have a pic of it.
