Palma Alliance

So... two very good shooters decide to only shoot palma rifle in preparation for shooting on the natio al rifle team...... i think i still need Palma Alliance Light 2018. That way I can shoot my 6mm in a match without violating the blood oath.

By the way, what is Erud nickname? If he doesn't have one...... i know what the first post of palma alliance 2018 will be!!!!!

I certainly hope so, seeing as how this PA thing was your idea in the first place!

Let me know when you start accepting membership requests for 2018, OK?

Membership is always open Steve, and once you're in, you're in until you break the oath. If someone joins after the first of the year, they will get a "2018" rifle sticker. The 2017 stickers are the originals, and will be a source of great pride for the inaugural year members. Mine isn't going anywhere.

Guys like Morgen who join next year will of course still be held in high esteem, but they won't be originals.

They are dead to us.
Can we give a 1/2 moa with out shooting a nine? or an inch without giving a mile? whichever you prefer. We could allow a different caliber at 600 if they still used irons....... just a thought. This is the Palma Alliance not the midrange alliance...

We could call it the prince taco rule:D

Tough call, all winter to think about it....

I don't see me as a lifer, I like shooting scope every once and a while too much. ERUD also never wants to see my 6BR come back into action....

Nah, I don't mind. With a scoped 6mm you should be able to beat an iron sighted Palma rifle every time, right? It's like shooting F-open vs FTR.

Wasn't that 6br named the "rented mule".....

I need to do a little planning. My current barrel might not make a whole season. Gotta talk with Randy and get my backup ready to go.

Been looking through my data. The scope gives me a few more Xs.
Been practicing reloading without moving my right elbow and keeping the gun on my shoulder. Is this a good thing to master?

Personally, I can't reload my LR guns without moving my right elbow- SB gun I can, but I still pickup my elbow and place it just for consistency.

There are MANY successful shooters who don't reload with the rifle in the shoulder, I shot that way for a couple years. For me, I much prefer leaving the gun in the shoulder I seem more consistent shot to shot and assists with NPA. However, as SPC said you have to know when something isn't right. I can't shoot nearly as quickly if I break position each time.

Scope usually allows me a couple more X's as well, I think speed and elimination of sight alignment errors are the main reasons. I certainly dont want to see Irons go away from MR or LR events.

Party- you have had a great year, stepping stone of many more to come. Well done!
