Depends on where you live I suppose. Thieves still get arrested, prosecuted and sent to jail around here. Benefits of a small, rural community.RWJ only if your neighborhood watch also has the neighborhood beat down program. no prosecutor is going to bother with this when armed robbers get released with a warrant.
It’s amazing how “pirates” behavior changes when they realize they’re being watched! Living at the end of a cul-de-sac in a mostly retired community makes it very effective. Several of us have banded together and remove packages from each other’s porches if they remain outside at sunset. No need for any enforcement activities… yet anyway!RWJ only if your neighborhood watch also has the neighborhood beat down program. no prosecutor is going to bother with this when armed robbers get released with a warrant.
I actually know someone who did that. Too bad they ran off and he couldn't see them open it.Rattlesnake

busted! lol.
Don’t read much about pirates anymore. There’s a reason and it’s not some multi- national sea patrol. It’s amazing how “pirates” behavior changes when they realize they’re being watched!
Good question! It seems that creating chaos is their end game… the reaction will be vigilantism which won’t get any coverage in the media… just like self-defensive shootingsWhat could a community watch legally do. Police must watch thieves steal $999.99 of goods, dump it, and return to repeat multiple time. Unless you live in a law and order region you are forced to endure the acceleration in crime as the Soros funded DAs refuse to prosecute. You could be punished more severely than the thief!

Same here in Shelby Co., happens in our more rural areas as well. All I can say is that many of the victims out here own land (and a backhoe), so that could be extremely risky now that awareness is spreading about these criminals. This has been happening in Louisville for several years now. The local news glorifies them by call the porch pirates instead of thieves. They just have not met the right home owner yet.
