Chic Donnelly assumed P.O.'s business and started Siskiyou Gunworks in Grants Pass, OR after P.O.'s passing. Chic also worked for years as Parker's assistant/partner. He built my elk rifle back in 1998, a .338-06 Ackley Imp on a pre-'64 M70 that has accounted for some dandy bulls here in Orygun.

Not sure if Siskiyou Gunworks is still in business. It was taken over by Chic's son and ran under the same name. Some great gun history right there.

Met him in a train station in Triniidad Colorado in the early 60’s
We both had an hour to kill and he was a real gentleman
I was going to Montana, no longer recall where he was headed.

I have a copy of Elmer Keith's "Six Guns." Read it at least 25 times. A must for six shooters. 

Although I think he was into his cup a little about some the claims he made but anything is possible. Regardless, he was one of the greatness six gunners of all time, father of the 44 magnum.

When i first got into messing with guns I went to a gun shop someone recommended in a nearby town. I looked and bought some reloading equipment, talked to the guy for a while and he gave me a business card. I put it in my wallet and looked at it a few days later. I had the usual stuff on the front, name address and phone number. On the back it has a list of services that was the funniest thing at the time. Stuff like Winchester 70s bought and sold, M60 and browning machine guns repaired, hydrogen bombs activated, tuned and repaired, virgins converted. After knowing the guy a few years most of it was probably true.
