May 7 Status Check - Who's gotten stimulus?

Got mine tucked away, was thinking of investing it into some stock, or maybe silver. Then this afternoon I came across a Remington rolling block rifle in 7mm Mauser. Pretty damned good shape, and not messed with.. $800 -- hmmmm. jd

Tough choice. The stock versus the silver would be a question of your degree of optimism. Silver if you think we are going into a prolonged depression, stocks if you think we will bounce back. I've been buying stock myself but time will tell if that was the correct choice. But, when it comes to a choice between the two and a rolling block, no contest. The rolling block all the way. That is a choice that says: I don't give a damn, I'm going to live my life to the fullest.

I must have done something right, Our $2400 posted to checking on April 15 @ 12:08am. I have direct deposit/debit set up thru tax prep service. It came in handy, had a flat tire and couldn`t pull off the road for about a mile and a half because of deep ditches and completely destroyed the tire.Replaced all four. 2400-600=1800. That`s life. Jeff

Got ours and the microwave died the next day. Remainder will go for taxes of various stripes. Did have to go to the website and apply.

Be prepared to get taxed on it as income next year.

Naw, it won't change our tax position. Got so many stock losses from 2008 that we'll be writing them off until I die. And that's only if we go long form, which we haven't done for several years.

So I may stand corrected, we shall see how it pans out. Haven’t really studied it that much since I am always a “payer” and never seem to qualify for those “free” gubment checks.

With your income you might need to contribute $1200 ea for you and your significant other.

Received nothing, IRS website is no help. If we get it I will use it to help pay my guys if necessary or my 2019 taxes that are due. Another problem, my home tax appraisal went up $42,000 for next year and we don't have a Kalifornia type house price.

Silver is a real winner. I started watching it back when the commercials told me it was the next big boom. It was around $20 and gold was $800. Silver hasnt averaged more than $35 in its history. Id be mad as hell at anybody that recommended i buy silver as an investment :(. That next big boom is coming again though.

Dusty, my middle Son bought a lot of silver when the Hunts were driving the price up years ago. He took a big loss.
From Jan 1979 to Jan 1980 silver went from $6 to about $50.

Gold went to $ 800. Look at it now.
I read that Silver is the most manipulated metal in the world. More paper silver than physical in existence.
That old guy from Omaha a few years ago purchased 129,000,000 oz troy and stored it in London. He owned more silver than COMEX.Quietly sold it all off a few years later. Personally i think someone suggested that he doesn't belong in that market.

I still haven't. And I don't meet the income excusions. But I didn't get a refund in 2018 ....and I didn't pay in, just applied o/p to 2019 taxes. Was on extension,.

Wife's dad just got his a week ago.

You?
Got my $105.00 stimulus check yesterday. :rolleyes:o_O
