OT - Garage sale

Is it her crap or your crap that you will be disposing of? If it is your crap have at it. If it is her crap, consider how you would feel if she disposed of yours.
If I had it separated for a garage sale I'd just be glad it was gone and I didn't have to mess with it. But as others have said, if I decide I'm done with something I'd just as soon give it away and have it gone. I despise clutter. Doesn't do me any good to have stuff if I can't even find it when I want it.

So my wife insists on having a garage sale. Again. Same crap that hasn't sold in the last 3 garage sales. But this time I've got a plan.

She'll be out of town overnight on a business trip. I'm loading all that crap up in a trailer and taking it to Goodwill. And when she gets home I'm handing her cash and telling her I found a charity that bought it.

Done.

It'll be well worth it to have that crap gone.
Women were put on earth to drive you to their level of insanity. If my wife wants a garage sale
she can have one, only I will not be attending.

A brave man and an example for us lesser men to emulate! It does have pre-request task to be done by the male. Will should be up to date, funeral arrangements should be clear and concise, and any favorite items that you want a friend or relative to have should be hand delivered to them before the spouse returns.

If she wants to get upset with me over making a charitable donation and giving her the money she'd have made on the sale then I must have made a whole bunch of mistakes before she never said anything about. I'm confident that's not the case.
Well, Ya done it now! Next time she will have MORE stuff to sell, Therefore, taking "shooting money" out of YOUR pocket!:eek::eek:

Pure genius

Why not donate the stuff and when she returns tell her the truth, take the heat, and be prepared for when she goes behind your back?
OK, so questions like this keep coming up so I'll give a few more details.
She doesn't want to deal with a garage sale either. She's taken her stuff to my in-laws to put in their garage sale. They're both in their upper 70s. My FIL is stuck doing most of the work. Same as the last garage sales and frankly it bothers me.

Hopefully the motivation for this is clearer now.

Take the stuff to the dump. Then go to FIL and send his wife out for beer or BBQ or both. Load their stuff up and haul it off. Return for BBQ and beer. In fact have the FIL go with her and have him mark what he wants hauled off. He can keep her occupied and drive to a BBQ joint in the next town.
