Opinions on Krieger vs Bartlein barrels

Bartlein barrels are top notch barrels. You won't get a better quality or more accurate barrel. I own several and all are outstanding accurate and easy to clean barrels. Ready to order another in 30/9T for a 300 NM improved or 300 PRC build.

I think a person will stick with the first premium barrel maker he buys from due to the success of that first barrel. He will switch only once he can not find one in stock that he likes or the barrel maker gets way behind and has a long wait time. Then he will seek out his second choice that he was going to use in the first place. Then comes more makers barrel out of curiosity. Like my 3 Rock Creeks, 2 Shilen MS, 2 Kriegers. My GAP rifle had a Rock Creek, so when I needed barrels I went with them, Then I had alway heard good things about Shilen and went with a couple of those. Curiosity struck and got the Kriegers.

I am on my 2nd Bartlein barrel with the 3rd at D2 Precision getting chambered. Both of the first two barrels have been excellent.

Agreed...mostly. I do believe (hope, pray) that some people in this activity are still interested in experimentation. But sadly I fear many shooters make decisions based upon what the rest of the herd is doing.
