We can't hold a candle to Australia when it comes to poisonous snakes. The web says they have about 170 varieties. We have only several varieties of rattlesnakes, copperheads, Cotton mouths and coral snakes that can hurt you. Even their frogs are poisonous.

We had some fire fighters go down and help the Aussies with there fires last fall. They were interviewing one on the local news when he returned. Said he asked one of the Aussie fire fighters which snakes were poisonous. He said all of them. Oh great!
