Where to find a lighter ejector spring?

Bic lighter springs work for ejectors and in many factory trigger applications. The Bic springs are longer but can be cut to the original spring length and it will have less tension than most of the springs you replace. I buy them at Dollar General, 3 for $2.00. If they don't work you can always take up smoking.

I like the bic spring as well. Also if you cut coils off to lighten it and lose too much length you can stretch it a little and itll be back working quick.

I needed to do several, so I measured the wire diameter, and coils per inch and ordered some from W. B. Jones spring company. I just cut them to the length I want with a Dremel abrasive wheel.
Yes spring stock is not too far removed from the fastener market in that a few companies manufacture almost everything you could ever need and you just need to order what you want. In a modern industrialized world springs are almost a commodity and are anything but scarce!
