Butch,Rode the DC6B from Seattle to Fairbanks, Ak in 1954. Pan Am airways. Wonderful trip.
A lot of shaking n vibration on that ride. Today on the jets, we don’t know how good we have it!

I have one of those setup in my shop. Belonged to my father who was a mechanical engineer. He lived with us the last 10 years of his life and spent every day at that drawing board. Taught me how to use it... to a degree. Wish I would have spent more time soaking up the knowledge.Oh yea. Used this thing in college, still have it and use it often. No AutoCAD back then!

U see a lot of those Air Tractor aircraft thru out the midwest. Heck of a good airplane with a PT-6 up front. Big money compared to the old Stearmans converted to cropdusting but your powerplant HP and reliability goes way up.Mort, my nephew is chief engineer at Air Tractor. According to the letter from Mike Walker to Jeff Aberegg, The lenses for the Remington XBR scopes were made by Plummer Precision optical of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania.Mike being a New Yorker...I wonder if the glass came from Bausch & Lomb that used to be in Rochester, NY?
