Old stuff -- Friends and Older Gear

I've heard that name before but can't remeber where, he was big in the bench rest world right ? Also question, any idea what the little hammer was for ?
The hammer was used to drive the 3 adjustable screws into the bench top so the front rest would not move. A practice today that is highly fround on.

Oh yea. Used this thing in college, still have it and use it often. No AutoCAD back then!

I wish I still had my table and drafting machine. I'm old enough to remember when the drafting room was littered with those. Once the PC based drafting programs hit the market, those things disappeared fast along with anyone who refused to learn CAD.

Things have come a long way.

Used CAD/CAM design and engineering programs for years. I’m currently doing plans for my new cabin on the board with arms. Still better than a T-square.

I get it! I've been in graphics nearly 50 years, once the computer applications appeared all the old ways as well as those who were stuck in them disappeared. The thing that is unfortunate, is that at a time when quality should be at its highest, it's in a malaise.
