I have two pounds of this from the mid 1960’s.
I hope to have the Way-Back machine fired up this weekend so I can grab a couple more pounds, can’t beat that price…

I remember Edelman’s, if that was the place in eastern PA. Good prices as I recall. They had their own “brand” of bullets in gray boxes which looked like Sierras.

Bought a couple used Sako varmint rifles there. A 243 & a 308. Maybe a 700V in 6mm Remington too. Memory's getting too full & may have purged some older data.

In 1965 my brother and I used to go to Godfrey's Reloading north of Alton, IL, and buy surplus Hodgdons 4831 in pint metal paint cans for 95-cents + a nickel tax. Primers were from the Winchester ammo plant there for the same price.
In August of 1970 I came home from my first tour or RVN and bought a 1968 Blood Red Hemi Torqueflite Road Runner for $1650 +6% sales tax...

1973 Christmas season worked at Joske's in the camera/calculators department. I knew a lot about photography and would really sell cameras and upsell quite a few from the one they first looked at. The department manager didn't like me because I outsold her and her favorite also. Anyway, she got me transferred to the toy department on 12/26 for the 5-9 closing shift. $2.10 an hour the whole time. Too long a drive from home really but on 8 hour shifts enough to have some money. Quit after 4 days of $8.40 pay as half went to the drive. That was the debut year of the TI SR-10 calculator and every NASA engineer's wife was calling every day trying to get one. We'd get a case of 12 and sell out in a couple of hours. Wasted my money on camera stuff back then. Oh well.
