Official Gun Pix 'Pride & Joy' Thread

Looks alot like my 1917 Enfield, metal work is very similar. I've not seen another with similar metal work until that picture. Mine is a 30-06. I will get pictures, for the moment I am on crutches and it is two flights below me.... stock is not nearly as nice as yours
There's a few more of mine on page 17, 22, and 27 of this thread.

Here is a laminate stock that Custom Rifle Stocks just finished. The stock was sanded to 600 grit then cleared with automotive clear. The pictures are not doing it justice. The barreled action is a sleeved Rem. caliber is 300 win mag.

Here is a custom redwood laminate that was made at Custom Rifle Stocks to compete at Ridgway in the 12lb class. Its a full size MBR pattern that makes weight with a NF Br on it with 6 oz's to spare. Its painted with a Tri coat pearl, base, color and clear. I need to learn how to take pictures because this is a beautiful stock in the sunlight it just pops with green and metallic. But I can't take pictures to save my ass. Caliber is 6 BRA its a Borden drop port action and Bartlien barrel with a Jewell trigger.

Just added 3 more SR score rifles to my stable. Top to bottom. Hart 1A action smithed by the late great Sid Goodling and reblued by Stan Ware. Craig Kostyshyn 21" barrel in 30BR, Leonard American Black Walnut and carbon stock glued and screwed by Sid. Jewell trigger which will be replaced with a B&A. Goodling one piece scope rail. B&L 36X boosted to 55X by Ackerman and Tuckerized by Cecil. This scope was on David Dowd's rifle when he set the 200 yard NBRSA group record. I talked to Sid about this rifle that be built for Dave Apple and he told me he put a lot of time into building this rifle. Second is a Bat3L Melonited RBLPRE one of the last benchrest rifles smithed by Sid. It has a Krieger 23&1/2" 30BRX barrel with Goodling tuner. Roy Hunter American black walnut and carbon stock glued and screwed by Sid. B&A trigger, Goodling one piece scope rail, March 36x55 zoom with raised reticle and 1/8 dot. Kelbly DS anodized rings. Last is a Bat B multi flat smithed by Sid. B&A Trigger. Terry Leonard Master Grade 5A KOA wood and carbon stock glued and screwed by Sid. The blank was $1800.00 alone. Craig Kostyshyn 23" barrel in 30BR with Goodling tuner. Goodling 2 piece bases with a March 40X scope with 3/32 dot in a set of Kelbly DS anodized rings. I drove down to Maryland on 4-30-19 and purchased the Hart and Bat B rifles from Dave Apple. He sold me his entire BR program from soup to nuts.

Has Mr Apple retired for shooting or has he got a different chambering in mind?
Like I said he sold me everything and I mean everything. Him and Judy have a new boat and he's into fishing for tuna and such. He's done BR shooting and I don't blame him I'm getting pretty sick of competing myself. My heart and head isn't into the game like it was a few years ago.

I can understand all that, I lost my shooting partner to cancer a few years ago and mentor moved to Tennessee when he retired. Just isn't the same. I thought maybe there was a new super cartridge on the horizon.
